At Millcreek Behavioral Health, we believe that every child needs quality educational support in order to thrive. We offer a comprehensive education program that is approved and accredited by the Arkansas Department of Education. Young people who have behavioral health and developmental disorders and are in one of our residential programs can receive customized educational interventions through our education program. Our teachers are licensed by the state of Arkansas and deliver individualized lesson plans that are tailored to each young person’s needs. Students attend classes in a stimulating environment that is designed to promote their intellectual, social, and emotional growth and development. In addition to caring for each patient’s educational needs, the teachers in our education program provide speech and language therapies, occupational therapy, and physical therapy for students. If a young person is struggling with a behavioral health concern, it can affect every aspect of their life, including their education. At Millcreek Behavioral Health, we provide structured educational services that are designed to help each patient succeed academically. Every patient at Millcreek is enrolled in our education program and attends classes five days a week. Patients are placed in classes according to their age and grade level. Our teachers develop an individualized education program (IEP) for each student. IEPs are structured to help students set achievable and measurable goals for academic success. Our curriculum meets Arkansas education guidelines, and we frequently reassess students’ progress to make sure that they are meeting state standards. Qualified teachers not only assist students in completing assignments but also help them develop self-discipline and healthy communication skills. Our Treatment Center
Millcreek Behavioral Health is a leading residential treatment center in Arkansas for children and teens who are struggling with mental health disorders, co-occurring addictions, developmental disorders, and intellectual disabilities. Our beautiful, 37-acre campus is located about 70 miles south of Little Rock in Fordyce, Arkansas. Patients have access to our expansive gym, cafeteria, and outdoor playfields. Our campus offers patients a tranquil environment where they can step away from the stressors of everyday life and make strides toward healing. Our multidisciplinary staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, dietitians, case managers, therapists, and state-certified teachers. Our goal with our programming is to empower patients by helping them develop healthy self-esteem and learn tools for building better relationships with their peers and loved ones.
