Our guiding principles include the Sanford House homelike environment, individualized treatment, integrated therapies, Medication-assisted treatment, robust excursions and family involvement. The treatment programs at Sanford House at Cherry Street for Women and Sanford House at John Street for Men are gender specific to foster safety, honesty and community. Sanford House at Cherry Street and Sanford House at John Street have room for 10 and 20 residents respectively. Residential Treatment Sanford House at Cherry Street and John Street provide comprehensive programs. These programs begin with an assessment by an experienced clinician. The assessor understands that each person's experience with chemical dependency is unique.
Additional Programs Outpatient, IOP and PHP
Sanford House uses a "whole body" treatment technique. After Work, Afternoon and Outpatient Programs We know that people in different stages of the recovery process need different levels of care. Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP), Partial Hospitalization Programs (PHP) and Outpatient Programs or (OP) are intended for individuals balancing sobriety and everyday life. These programs also assist alumnae in their transition out of residential treatment. Sanford Outpatient Center's treatment combines psychosocial/behavioral and medication-assisted treatment for alcohol and/or opioid and other drug use disorders.
Medication-Assisted Treatment Programs
At all our Sanford facilities, treatment includes group therapy, individual therapy, crucial involvement of the family and family therapy and medical services and medication management. At Sanford our clinical team uses evidence-based practices in therapy, and our clinicians work alongside our medical team. Both teams specialize in addiction treatment. Sanford's MAT program strives to continually develop and improve community relationships. we offer a variety of outpatient group therapy sessions. All MAT staff participate in continuing education to ensure that the medical and clinical care provided is comprehensive, individualized, effective and evidence-based.
