Valle Vista Health System seeks to help adults with mental health issues and substance use disorder for Opioids and Alcohol. Valle Vista offers inpatient adult chemical detox, inpatient adult mental health as well as an adult dual diagnosis program. Valle Vista also has half day and full day outpatient group therapy. Our New Vista Program is a medication assisted treatment program for adults that includes individual and group therapies. Valle Vista can treat children as young as 12 years old who struggle with mental health issues, suicidal ideation and self-harm with our inpatient programming as well as half day and full day outpatient group therapy programs. Dr. Kenny works with our counselors for medication assistance for clients that need medication supplementing counseling services or Autism services.

Since 1883, Crossroad has focused on the mission of creating promising futures for children and families. Today, our family directed programs concentrate on providing behavioral health treatment, education programs, and support services tailored to client needs and strengths. Crossroad residential programs for children and youth, ages 6 to 21, are offered on our Fort Wayne campus. Our programs include Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Secure Intensive Treatment, Open Residential Programming, and Diagnostic Evaluation. Our residential programs are available to all qualified children and referrals are accepted from judges, youth serving professionals, educators, counselors, parents, and others. Crossroad will admit clients with medical challenges including, but not limited to, seizure disorders, cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy, diabetes, sickle cell anemia, hemophilia, cancer, and shunt placement; we will also accept children with developmental delays and learning challenges on a case-by-case basis.

Dawn McDonough is a graduate of Purdue University’s Mental Health Counseling program.  She also received certification in Expressive Arts and Addictions. She has worked with adolescents and adults in residential and outpatient programs, as well as in private practice.  Ms. McDonough uses an eclectic approach with her primary focus being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.  She has worked with a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, self-esteem, stress-management, and substance abuse. “I try to empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles to improve life satisfaction.”
