Inpatient Dual Diagnosis Treatment
MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital, located in New Castle, Delaware, offers an inpatient co-occurring disorders treatment program for adolescents, adults, and older adults who are struggling with mental health concerns and addictions simultaneously. In our dual diagnosis treatment program, we serve individuals who have addictions to alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, opioids, and prescription drugs. Depending on their unique circumstances, patients may enter treatment at our detox level of care before transitioning to our inpatient co-occurring disorders treatment program. Detox is supervised by highly qualified medical staff members, including doctors and nurses, who continuously monitor the physical well-being of patients while they rid their bodies of harmful substances. Once detox is complete, patients can participate in other therapeutic activities, such as group therapy. Treatment Approach
At MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital, we integrate principles of the 12-Step recovery model into elements of our inpatient co-occurring disorders treatment program. After detoxing, patients can take part in various therapies that are designed to help them address behavioral health concerns and begin preparing for life after discharge. Each patient gets an individualized treatment plan that outlines which services they may receive while in our care. Treatment plans might include medication management services, creative/expressive therapy, family therapy, and educational lectures. In therapy sessions, patients can learn relapse prevention strategies and how to develop healthy coping skills. Group therapy sessions are facilitated by licensed master social workers (LMSWs) and certified alcohol and drug counselors (CADCs) who can provide invaluable support in helping patients achieve lifelong healing and recovery. Our Treatment Center
MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital is conveniently located near Wilmington, Delaware, and serves adolescents, adults, and older adults in separate units based on age and reason for seeking treatment. We believe that with the proper support, people can stop using harmful substances and live satisfying, productive lives. Our inpatient co-occurring disorders treatment program is designed to help each patient stop using substances and learn to manage the symptoms of certain mental health disorders. Comprehensive aftercare planning is a crucial component of the treatment process, and we provide each patient with a discharge plan to assist them in continuing their path to healing. This plan might include a referral for our partial hospitalization program (PHP) or intensive outpatient program (IOP).
