During outpatient treatment, clients receive therapy while continuing other life responsibilities like school, work or family responsibilities; and unlike residential programs, at The Freedom House, the client has the ability to live at home or in a sober living environment. The Newport Academy Rockville Outpatient Program provides industry-leading treatment for teen boys and girls ages 13–18 and their families, with a focus on healing underlying trauma and addressing related mental health and substance use disorders. We offer traditional outpatient, Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), and a virtual IOP (vIOP). For teens discharging from a residential program, our vIOP supports a seamless transition into outpatient care. Our multidisciplinary team meets teens where they are, with compassionate, expert care.
