Mental Health/A&D
We treat adolescent males ages 12-17 who experience mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. We deal with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, A&D issues and other mental health disorders. Our program is designed to ensure a supportive and structured environment that considers the individual client's educational, emotional, and behavioral needs. This is accomplished by establishing a positive culture among the residents, reinforcing the proper choices and promoting healthier, pro-social problem solving methods. Substance Abuse is becoming more and more common in younger children and needs to be addressed as soon as possible. We focus on relapse prevention plan development, introduction to support groups such as Alcoholic-Anonymous and Narcotics-Anonymous, healthy coping skills, alcohol and drug education, stress management, and coping with peer pressure. Treatment
Before admission, all clients will require a psychological assessment that go over current and past behaviors and trauma they may have experienced. We offer a dual diagnosis program as well. This includes children who are struggling with both a psychiatric disorder and a diagnosed intellectual disability (IQ 50-70). We offer specialized attention to these vulnerable young men, providing them with the coping skills they need. Residents are housed in a separate unit with smaller classrooms and living areas to reduce their anxiety. Additionally, a residents active involvement in individual, group, and family therapy are essential components of the therapeutic process. Our dual diagnosis track is a separate program for residents with a diagnosis of both a psychiatric disorder and a Intellectual Disability. This program is housed separately from the general population and is staffed with specifically trained staff, including Mental Health Techs, Special Education Teachers, and Master Level Therapists. This program lasts anywhere from 4-6 months, depending on progress that the resident is making. We Care About Success
We understand that times are difficult and are here to help in anyway we can. Our program is designed for children who has tried all lower levels of care that include, Out Patient Services, Intensive Out Patient, and/or In-Home services, also known as, CCFT. Just call and ask to speak to someone in admissions to discuss options for your child. If residential isn't the appropriate level of care, we can provide different levels of care recommendations. We strive to make sure each child receives the care that would benefit them the most. Our mission is to deliver high quality treatment, education, guidance, and encouragement for troubled adolescents as Tennessee's trusted provider. Help is only a phone call away.
