The clinicians at The Counseling Center of Group use an array of techniques to help enhance the quality of life for individuals, couples, groups, and families. Through our strength-based and collaborative approach, we offer new insights that enable our clients to see things from different perspectives. We provide treatment and counseling for anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation issues, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and parenting. The Counseling Center Group utilizes evidence based strategies to help empower our clients to make choices that generate positive changes in their lives. Together, we will look at feelings, thoughts and behaviors as vehicles to affirmative changes. Our clinicians use techniques from empirically proven interventions including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Gottman therapy, cyclical psychodynamics, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and others.

K& I Healthcare Services was founded in 2019 as the brainchild of Ike Obiora and Kelvinda Kamara, psychiatric nurse practitioners who recognized that the mental health care system was broken during their work in Baltimore, Maryland. As their frustration grew with the prevalence of untreated mental illness among traditionally underserved populations, they decided to start a mental health organization that viewed the underlying social, emotional, and medical determinants of patient behavior as major drivers of the treatment planning and service delivery processes

In addition to substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment, we work with the whole ecosystem of an individual by providing academic & vocational support prior to every group session, weekly multi-family group sessions, weekly individual sessions, and participation in community events. Leading outpatient addiction treatment center since 1998. The Coleman Institute’s innovative outpatient detox programs have helped thousands of people free themselves from addiction to Alcohol, Opioids, Suboxone, Methadone and Benzodiazepines. We have an extraordinarily high 98% success rate for getting opioid patients onto the non-addictive opiate blocker, Naltrexone, which helps prevent relapse by reducing cravings and blocking highs. To help our patients get into long-term recovery and stay there, our unique program includes ongoing Naltrexone therapy and supportive case management after the withdrawal management phase. Unlike other forms of rapid detox, the Coleman Method speeds patients through withdrawal in relative comfort without the use of general anesthesia. Continuum Recovery Services (CRS) at Continuum of Care consists of 4 levels of residential treatment and care for adults ages 18 and up who are challenged with mental health and potentially co-occurring disorders. Clients can access treatment to any of these levels of care and move to a higher or a lower level of care as their needs change. Continuum offers short-term and long-term residential treatment in an intimate personalized setting. Clients live in a home-like setting that provides low stimulation compared to traditional institutional settings. Roxbury is an inpatient detox and rehab facility for adults with a specialty in treating co-occurring mental health disorders. Roxbury’s inpatient substance use disorder unit is also a contracted and certified Tricare facility and can treat active duty military members, their dependents, and veterans. Our program offers individualized treatment planning, 12 step programming, SMART Recovery, group therapy, individual and family therapy, as well as medication management and a full psychiatric evaluation. We also offer Vivitrol injections for the management of opiate and alcohol addiction.

The Dorm is an affirming, CARF-Accredited young adult intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) community in Washington, D.C. on a mission to help young people build a life of independence. We serve young adults between the ages of 18 and 30 with immersive day and evening services that include clinical therapies, practical skill-building and community support. We specialize in treating substance use, trauma, anxiety and depressive disorders, eating disorders, psychotic disorders, personality disorders and supporting with executive function deficits. Personalized treatment plans scale from 3-30+ hours a week following expert assessment. Comprehensive care encompasses 1:1 therapy (licensed clinicians trained in over 11 clinical modalities including DBT, CBT, EMDR and Cognitive Remediation), individualized life skills coaching, group therapy, family therapy, nutritional support with registered dietitians, academic and vocational services, a unique community clubhouse experience with social activities and events as well as holistic health and wellness services (yoga, mindfulness, physical fitness).
