Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is an entirely new approach to treating patients with major depression who have failed to respond, or unable to use traditional medication. TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is an FDA approved treatment for adults who suffer from major depressive disorder and who have failed to find relief from anti-depressants. It is an office procedure where magnetic pulses target the prefrontal cortex of the brain. Most patients require 20 to 30 treatments to emerge from depression, over 4 to 6 weeks. The treatment lasts about 20 minutes, has few side effects, and patients can resume their normal day going to work, to school, etc. Unlike medication, TMS has very few side effects.

The Triangle Program at Arbour-HRI Hospital offers both Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP). Services include short-term intensive group therapy geared towards the unique mental health needs of the adult LGBTQIAA+ population. Common issues addressed include, but are not limited to, mood instability, stress, anxiety, depression, disorganized thinking, trauma, co-occurring addictions, and gender dysphoria. Participants attend group therapy sessions, meet with a clinician for individual counseling and case management needs, and a psychiatric prescriber for medication management. For all of the PHPs at Arbour-HRI Hospital, breakfast and lunch are provided as a part of the program. As well, participants can be supported in securing transportation within a ten-mile radius to and from the program. Requests for transportation services must be made after the initial intake.

At New Harbor, we only treat young people, we always treat the family system, and we are super communicators. Our intensive outpatient services for young people consist of evidence based therapy groups grounded in DBT/CBT skills, mindfulness, and holistic wellness. We also see our clients and their families for individual and family work. We are currently assessing 13 - 17 year old clients for care.
