The Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) service at McLean Hospital is dedicated to providing treatment for patients with severe depression, especially those diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression (people who have not felt relief from prescription medication for depression or those who have experienced side-effects). TMS is offered at both the McLean Hospital main campus in Belmont and at McLean Southeast in Middleborough. TMS is non-invasive and requires no anesthesia or sedation.
