Fall River Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) offers outpatient programming for adults age 18 and older who are seeking recovery from opioid addictions. Opioid addiction is a chronic disease, which means that people must learn how to effectively manage symptoms to remain in recovery. At our treatment center, we provide clinically excellent medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to help people learn the coping skills they need to achieve long-term success. Research shows that MAT drastically decreases the risk for relapse. MAT is an evidence-based, whole-person approach to treatment that addresses the mental and physical aspects of opioid addiction. Patients in our MAT program can benefit from taking methadone under the guidance of a professional. When taken as directed, methadone can help people safely complete the withdrawal process by alleviating painful physical symptoms and intense cravings that occur when a person stops using opioids.

TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation) is an FDA approved treatment for adults who suffer from major depressive disorder and who have failed to find relief from anti-depressants. It is an office procedure where magnetic pulses target the prefrontal cortex of the brain. Most patients require 20 to 30 treatments to emerge from depression, over 4 to 6 weeks. The treatment lasts about 20 minutes, has few side effects, and patients can resume their normal day going to work, to school, etc. Unlike medication, TMS has very few side effects.
