Planting the Seeds of Hope in Our Community

Legacy Health and Wellness began as a seed planted by a team of dedicated professionals who share the belief that healing and growth has the power to change the entire legacy of a family. We have a client centered focus that uses a team approach within the agency as well as with our community partners to assist clients in making changes in their lives. Our therapists include Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Marriage and Family Therapists, Certified Professional Counselors, and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors. All have years of experience working with our diverse population. At Legacy, therapists work closely with Basic Skills and Psychosocial Rehabilitation providers to ensure the therapeutic process is complimented by our behavioral health services. Legacy is committed to providing quality, professional care. We are committed to meeting people where they are in their lives with a spirit of respect and acceptance. Legacy's mission is to provide quality Mental and Behavioral Health Services to children, adults, and families in our community. Our Clinical Staff

Legacy's exceptional clinical team includes Clinical Professional Counselors, LCSWs, MFTs and interns in each of these modalities. Each bring years of experience in a variety of treatment settings, with a diverse population. Using an integrated approach to therapy, Legacy's clinical team uses eclectic methodology including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Play Therapy, and Contextual Therapy when appropriate. Legacy's clinical team has extensive experience providing therapeutic services in the form of individual, group, couples, and family sessions for those challenged by mental health disorders, substance abuse/dependency, co-occurring disorders, and Child Protection Services involvement.

Chemical Dependency Intensive Outpatient Group

This group meets three times per week for three hours each day as an alternative to inpatient treatment. Legacy’s Chemical Dependency Program is based upon the premise that chemical dependency is a physical, mental, social and spiritual illness. Participants engage in individual and group counseling sessions, sobriety-based recovery groups and ongoing education. Most participants attend treatment sessions on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday for 10 to 16 weeks. As individuals progress, there are step down levels of treatment to provide continued support and relapse prevention.

Adolescent Intensive Outpatient

Intensive Outpatient for adolescents aged 13 to 17. This group teaches adolescents alternative coping skills to address symptoms of mental health and substance use. There are unique challenges that occur when young people suffer with mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Adolescents and their parents often struggle to understand the complexities of mental health and the behaviors that are often associated. This group is designed to reduce behaviors, provide healthy coping strategies, and prevent hospitalizations.
