Our mission is to provide alcohol and drug-addicted individuals and their families the opportunity to choose a healthier way of life. Laguna View Detox believes that alcoholism and addictions are primary illnesses that are chronic, progressive and potentially fatal. Although there is no cure for the disease of addiction, it can be put into remission by following a carefully structured recovery program that demands self-honesty, a willingness to change, and a belief that a support system, which includes other recovering people, is vital. It is Laguna View Detox's belief that its treatment program can provide the knowledge, supportive environment, and basic tools that Clients need in order to begin their journey into recovery. The treatment program at Laguna View Detox is licensed by the State of California and utilizes evidence-based therapeutic methods. The foundation for the program is total abstinence from any mood-altering chemical, followed by learning and practicing the self-help concepts in community-based 12-step programs, such as Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. The program utilizes assessment, education, group counseling, individual counseling, medical and psychiatric intervention, and mental health therapy, along with evidence-based practices that have proved effective in helping individuals maintain sobriety. The program offered by Laguna View Detox is holistic and comprehensive, with the goal of meeting the needs of all clients. Clients work collaboratively with their therapists in developing treatment plans that address their individual needs.
