Treatment Philosophy
Longbranch Recovery & Wellness is a residential treatment center that combines counseling with physician-managed care for addiction and co-occurring disorders, providing a holistic, compassionate, and intensive therapeutic approach to recovery. Our treatment protocol offers personalized, evidence-based care, focusing on underlying issues like grief, trauma, and PTSD, with a 6:1 clinician-to-client ratio. Residents will have weekly sessions with our psychologist and our psychiatrist, an expert in addiction treatment and integrative medicine. Our approach also includes multiple weekly meetings with your clinician, peer-group therapy sessions, and regular participation in yoga & meditation. We offer educational sessions led by a diverse group of doctors and clinicians and provide speakers from local recovery support groups. Additionally, residents attend outside recovery meetings to complement their healing journey. Families can expect a comprehensive care plan for up to 1 year, including case management, recommendations for sober living and extended care placements nationwide, transportation between facilities, and ongoing collaboration and communication with referring clinicians. Our retreat center in Abita Springs, LA has been designed to create a tranquil environment and atmosphere conducive to restoration and recovery. A historic site, completely updated in 2017, features arresting natural beauty and modern amenities that include: double occupancy rooms with in-suite bathroom, 14 foot ceilings, and full beds, a personal chef preparing gourmet and nutritional meals from on-site restaurant, meditation garden, pool, yoga studio, and exercise facilities.
