About
Adolescent Treatment Program
ARCH Academy serves adolescent males ages 14-18 that have a primary substance abuse problem. It’s very common for addicted teens to have other mental health issues such as anxiety, depression and trauma so our staff is fully equipped to treat most co-occurring illnesses. Our counselors create an individualized treatment plan for each teen, focused on cultivating a healthy sense of confidence as well as providing the teen with more coping and life skills to help sustain lasting recovery. Through adventure-based programming like hiking, canoeing and biking, teens will have a unique opportunity for self-discovery. Being surrounded by nature also allows teens ample time for reflection and meditation.
Academics
Your son will not fall behind in school if he joins ARCH Academy. We operate a fully accredited private high school with grades 8-12 and include credit recovery options and follow up academic placement. Statistics show most teens in the ARCH Academy core curriculum advance am entire grade level while in treatment. Our Director of Education works closely with the family to provide support and guidance through the process. ARCH Academy proudly celebrates frequent graduations for those who finish high school while in treatment. We also work in collaboration with Collegiate Recovery Programs for our seniors.
Adventure Therapy
Adventure therapy, otherwise known as experiential therapy, has been shown to greatly benefit adolescents in recovery by breaking down some of the barriers and stigmas associated with typical treatment and by getting youth actively involved in unique ways. Our 177-acre campus provides the ideal setting for adventure-therapy that allows youth to address past, present and future issues in non-traditional ways.
