Free Support for the Jewish Community
The Jewish Community Mental Health Initiative (JCMHI), a Direct Action fund of the American Psychological Foundation (APF), is dedicated to fostering connection, healing, and resilience within the Jewish community. We provide free, virtual support groups, resources, trainings, and research-informed programming for Jewish-identified individuals navigating grief, trauma, and the emotional impact of rising antisemitism and challenging times. We warmly welcome Jews of all backgrounds, identities, levels of observance, abilities, and lived experiences.
About Our Free Support Groups
We are dedicated to providing ongoing clinician-led support groups for members of the Jewish community. These support groups provide an environment to jointly process and navigate the complex emotions, traumatic experiences, and grief due to the rise in antisemitism. We host 25+ free, virtual, and weekly support groups.
Who Do We Support?
We welcome Jewish identified individuals from all walks of life, regardless of their race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability. We offer a number of affinity groups including groups for LGBTQ+ Jews, Parents, College Faculty/Staff, Descendants of the Holocaust, College Students, Neurodivergent Jews, and others.
