About
About Azure Acres
Azure Acres in Sebastopol, California, has been in business for over fifty years, providing top-of-the-line treatment to adults who are faced with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health conditions. We pinpoint our treatment towards those who are addicted to substances including alcohol, heroin, meth, synthetic marijuana, prescription painkillers, and inhalants, as well as those who are afflicted with co-occurring conditions such as bipolar disorder, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder, and depression. We view addiction as a chronic disease that prompts individuals to suffer from psychological and emotional problems. To help address the issues so the patient can begin to heal, our staff of exceptional professionals go above and beyond to provide each patient with the comprehensive care they need in order to push past their current issues and begin living a happy, healthy life. At Azure Acres, we supply a number of options of care, including an intensive outpatient program, residential care, partial hospitalization, and detoxification.
Outpatient Treatment at Azure Acres
One of the intensive outpatient programs that Azure Acres offers is located in Sacramento, California. Here, patients who need more advanced care than outpatient treatment, but less advanced care than inpatient treatment, can get the care they need in order to end their destructive behaviors. When a patient enrolls in our intensive outpatient program in Sacramento, he or she will partake in individual therapy sessions a minimum of once a week. Additionally, patients will engage in many group therapy sessions, ranging anywhere from 24 to 30 sessions over their six to eight week-long stay. Within these group therapy sessions, patients will learn about the brain of an addict, the 12-Steps, grief and loss, communication, stress management, relapse triggers, acceptance, and resentments. On the first and third Wednesday of each month, patients and their loved ones will partake in family therapy. Also included is medication management education, where patients can learn how to follow prescription medication regimens.
Admissions Process at Azure Acres
Those who are seeking treatment through Azure Acres can call and speak to a member of our admissions team at any time during our normal business hours. After hours, however, patients can be connected to the National Resource Center. Once an individual contacts us at Azure Acres, our admissions team will begin working diligently to provide a complete assessment of the patient, screening for issues that might prevent them from providing the type of care required for that patient. If the screening process is successful, patients will start working with the admissions team to iron out insurance and financial options. At the same time, we at Azure Acres will be working hard to develop the right treatment placement for the patient, determining if he or she should be placed in detox, residential, or intensive outpatient care. We also accept referrals from family and friends, Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), treating professionals, medical facilities, alumni, and interventionists.
