Polyvagal-Informed Practices for Safety

This Polyvagal informed group is based on the knowledge that the autonomic nervous system (responsible for triggering fight or flight, and faint or freeze) is shaped by early experience and reshaped with ongoing experience. Using psychoeducation and a variety of experiential exercises, both in and between group sessions, clients will tune into their nervous system, begin to reshape their responses, and increase their ability to regulate difficult emotions leading to an increase in feelings of safety and connection. Following the principles of polyvagal theory, clients will be guided to safely connect to their autonomic responses and navigate daily experiences.
