Life is hard enough. Getting help should not be stressful. You can get all of your mental health and substance use treatment in one place. We collaborate with involved professionals. Insight offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, psychological testing, MAT/MOUD and individual, couples, family, play, and group therapy. Appointments are available within 48 hours with an expert in his/her field including autism, alcohol moderation, harm reduction psychotherapy, anxiety disorders, and relationships. One of us will call to help figure out the best path for you and your family. Licensed in VA, MD, WV, and DC. Dealing with an alcohol or drug issue?
We can help. We know that substance use occurs on a spectrum and not everyone is an "addict" or "alcoholic." Often people participate in a group and individual therapy, but you might just need education or relapse prevention. The Dual Diagnosis Recovery Program has tracts for adolescents and their parents, young adults, and adults because each age group has different needs. You will learn WHY you or a loved one is using drugs or alcohol and get tools to manage life better. If you have a DUI or other legal charge, our services satisfy ASAP requirements. You can get drug/alcohol testing and/or Breathlyzers on-site and necessary paperwork for your lawyer or probation officer. If you are unsure of whether your drinking is a problem, take the Alcohol Moderation Assessment and read Practicing Alcohol Moderation: A Comprehensive Workbook to learn how to have a better relationship with alcohol. This is a common frustration. Maybe you have had a bad experience before or were working with someone with a limited skill set. Don't give up. We are usually not people's first treatment attempt so we figure out what worked and what did not for you before. Your time and money is valuable. Therapy is more than talking. We will help you identify your goals and work with you to find an action plan. Our therapists have an average of twenty years' experience and specialty training in addictions, marriage counseling, and trauma. Alcohol Safety Action Program
This group satisfies the requirements for individuals who are court ordered to treatment by ASAP. You will first complete an evaluation and then likely attend a twelve week group, submit to urine drug/alcohol testing, and participate in two recovery related activities. Some may participate in individual or family therapy. No 12-step meetings are required. All necessary paperwork will be sent to your case manager.
