However, those individuals with severe, long-term alcohol or substance use usually need to participate in an inpatient rehab program to recover fully.
Medical detoxification from alcohol or substances is necessary because when it comes to addiction, your brain and body are not always in sync. Your brain may be focused on recovery and doing everything to get sober. However, your body may not be ready because it is still under the influence of drugs or alcohol and you are physiologically addicted. This means that your body cannot function properly without getting the alcohol or substances that you have been using for some period of time. Detox is the process of safely bringing the body up to speed so that recovery can be accomplished with minimal risk to your health.

The Wind Rose Home for girls serves females ages 14-20 who are struggling with mental health disorders. Cardinal Point is a group home for adolescents and young adults ages 14-20 who are members of the LGBTQ+ community. This group home provides psychiatric treatment in a safe and structured setting where individuals can address behavioral health concerns while learning independent living skills. Carina group home serves adolescent males ages 11-16, and Polaris group home is for young men ages 17-20. Both of these group homes provide treatment for males who have a history of sexually harmful behaviors. These residents have recently completed a residential treatment program but need a safe and supervised setting where they can continue to learn healthy behaviors, receive psychiatric services, and gain employment skills.

Our mission is to save the lives of adults struggling with addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders, through our full continuum of care, inclusive of drug and alcohol detox, residential inpatient, and outpatient treatment (offered both in-person and online).
At RCA, we believe interventions shouldn’t make a loved one feel ambushed; rather, it’s the opportunity for friends and family to show someone they love that they don’t have to deal with their addiction alone. Our experienced interventionists help families by planning the intervention and preparing the family and friends, leading the intervention and keeping the conversation on track, performing an initial clinical assessment of the potential patient, discuss various treatment options and financial considerations, and transition the patient into a residential drug and alcohol treatment program.
