Cedar Rapids Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) is a premier provider of outpatient medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older. Our clinic serves people in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and its surrounding communities who are struggling with opioid addictions. Medication-assisted treatment is an evidence-based intervention that involves the use of prescription medication and therapy. The medications that are offered in MAT programs help relieve symptoms of opioid withdrawal and suppress opioid cravings. At our leading CTC, we offer methadone, buprenorphine, Suboxone, and Vivitrol to help patients end opioid use and begin the process of long-term recovery. While medication-assisted treatment can offer a range of short- and long-term benefits, some of the most critical benefits often occur in the beginning stages of the recovery process. By reducing discomfort during withdrawal, medications like methadone can help people improve their functioning and feel better prepared to participate in treatment. QC Counselor is a group of licensed, professional counselors and social worker with a variety of different specialties and offerings. Across the lifespan, we're a resource in the Quad Cities community helping with anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, trauma, stress and a variety of other issues that we can all face and need some support navigating. Our ideal client is an adolescent (ages 12-18) struggling with substance use disorder. Our residential treatment program is voluntary, which means they come to YSS because they want to make a change. Our program is most often the next step after traditional outpatient therapy has not been sufficient. We help youth who know they need to make a change and they want support and guidance on their journey. Our counselors are highly trained to help build coping skills, educate on substance abuse, and motivate youth to be successful in their journey toward sobriety. Each individual client’s progress is reviewed by the treatment team during a weekly supervision. Their goal is to leave our program sober and prepared to process stress, anger, and challenges in a healthy, productive manner. Our gender-specific treatment helps youth develop coping skills, healthy relationship-building skills, and relapse prevention strategies. Family is integrated into treatment through visits, family therapy, virtual parent information sessions, and our unique Strengthening Families Weekend. We continue to support youth after they graduate from our program and return to their communities.
