Hillside, Treatment Center in Atlanta

Hillside: A Continuum of Care

Hillside is a not-for-profit residential treatment facility for children and adolescents with a second outpatient clinic location specializing in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Theraplay. Since our beginning in 1888, Hillside's mission has been to help children and families thrive by providing outstanding residential and community mental health services. Our programs focus on the strengths of our kids and encourage the growth and improvement they need to navigate through life. Hillside provides specialized cutting edge behavioral treatment and education to children and their families.

Residential DBT Treatment for Children/Adolescents

Hillside provides numerous treatment options for children and adolescents ages 7-21 experiencing difficulties with emotional and behavioral issues. Hillside's primary treatment modality is Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and all therapists who provide treatment are intensively trained in DBT. Hillside is the only Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) adherent facility for this population in the Southeast. Additionally, all adjunct staff have extensive DBT training. Additional primary treatment modalities include cutting edge specialty modalities such as Theraplay, Art Therapy and Animal Assisted Therapy. Our highly specialized staff recognize how important it is to understand the needs of the children and adolescents we serve, as well as the families and communities the children come from. Every child at Hillside follows a course of treatment specially designed for them and in the least restrictive program possible. Our fully accredited school is staffed with a team of highly qualified and licensed teachers who are passionate about encouraging our clients to achieve their academic goals as well as gaining the skills to successfully manage their social and emotional needs.
