Adults can benefit from residential care when they need 24-hour support with a highly structured therapy schedule. Those who are currently using drugs or alcohol might begin their treatment with detoxification. We offer medically assisted detox to help people rid their bodies of addictive substances and achieve stabilization. Once someone begins residential treatment, they receive therapy several times each week along with medication management. The typical length of stay at this level of care is about 30-90 days, however, this time will vary based on individual concerns.

Residential care includes a structured therapy schedule with 24-hour support. The typical length of stay at this level is about 30-90 days depending on each adolescents’ specific concerns and goals.

Muir Wood Adolescent and Family Services treats teen boys and girls ages 12 – 17 experiencing substance use and mental health conditions. Boys and girls are treated and housed separately to eliminate drama and distraction. Canton Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), located in Massillon, Ohio, is a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid use disorder, which is the clinical term for opioid addiction. MAT is an evidence-based and effective approach for treating opioid addiction that has proved to help people maintain recovery. Many methadone clinics offer only one type of medication as part of MAT, but our clinic provides multiple options, including Suboxone, buprenorphine, and methadone. These medications can alleviate the cravings and withdrawal symptoms someone can experience when they suddenly stop opioid use. By minimizing the distress of opioid withdrawal, MAT allows people to focus on their recovery without distractions. While medication plays a critical role in MAT, treatment is most effective when it incorporates group and individual therapy. Insurance covers up to 100 percent of the treatment and therapeutic modalities that Newport Institute offers. We accept all major insurance providers and work collaboratively with payers to optimize coverage for families. Many young adults who receive treatment from Newport Institute using insurance coverage do so through a Single Case Agreement, a special contract through which out-of-network providers can work with a family’s insurance company on an In-Network basis. Newport Institute maintains a full-time, in-house team dedicated to supporting families through the mental health insurance coverage and financing process. In order to secure sufficient insurance coverage, we will most likely need to conduct a series of clinical reviews and any requested doctor-to-doctor calls with the insurance company. While other facilities may charge for this service, we feel it is our responsibility to assist families with what can be a complex process. Our goal is to ensure that families receive the maximum coverage, so they can access the highest-quality treatment.
