Help Recovery Centers is an outpatient substance abuse treatment service located in Murfreesboro and Christiana Tennessee. However, we also provide services throughout the state utilizing our video and telehealth programs. Help Recovery Center's mission is to assist clients with developing and maintaining a purposeful, enjoyable recovery lifestyle. Our licensed addiction counselors use technology that allows you to participate in an alcohol and drug evaluation or addiction counseling session from the comfort of your home on computer, tablet, or smartphone. Contact us and schedule an appointment. We will join you on-line with video, walk you through the process, explain the results, and answer any questions you may have. Or if you prefer, you can visit our office and complete the assessment or counseling in-person. Help Recovery Centers embrace the latest scientific advancements from cognitive retraining techniques that desensitize unhealthy associations to FDA approved medications for the treatment of substance abuse and mood disorders. Treatment starts with a substance abuse evaluation to determine the severity of the problem. If low intensity outpatient treatment (LIOP, 1 session per week) or intensive outpatient treatment (IOP, 3 sessions per week) is the right fit, you will be admitted into the program. Then you will meet your counselor and receive a password to your online recovery plan site. There you will find the Help Recovery interactive workbook and daily submission forms, thoughts for the day, substance abuse video presentations, guided relaxation audio, help with using thoughts audio, the walk to wellness exercise program, a collection of links to various online daily support meetings, and much more. By using the Help Recovery interactive workbook and submission forms, you will have the opportunity to check in with your counselors every morning and evening, 7 days a week. For our opiate addicted patients who choose to use a medication for addiction treatment plan, we work closely with local doctors that prescribe Suboxone. The medication manages withdrawal and cravings. We can provide the referral and follow-up counseling verifications to the doctor's office, or you can use a doctor of your choice. Tom Diffenderfer LADAC, QCS, CAIP is a licensed alcohol & drug abuse counselor, qualified clinical supervisor, & certified anxiety informed professional. Prior to opening his private counseling practice in 2012, he had spent 18 years as a counselor and program coordinator at one of Nashville’s most established alcohol & drug abuse treatment centers. Tom is a pioneer in developing online recovery technology and video therapy and is the author of "A Clinicians Guide to MAT". Over the last 28 years, he has helped thousands of individuals recover from substance abuse. Tiffany Porter LADAC has a degree in healthcare management and is a level II licensed alcohol and drug abuse counselor. During the last 11 years, she has been providing assessment and counseling for substance abuse clients while directing and managing the daily activities of a residential education and alternative sentencing facility for alcohol and drug related offenders. She has also worked as a counselor and medical liaison with Recovery Consulting Service’s Suboxone program.
