Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is an extensively researched method of treating opioid use disorder. MAT uniquely combines therapy with prescription medication to help people address the physical, mental, and emotional aspects of opioid addiction. Taking medication under the guidance of a professional as part of a comprehensive MAT program is a safe and effective way to eliminate the uncomfortable symptoms associated with opioid withdrawal. The FDA-approved medication provided for each patient as part of MAT is determined on an individual basis. The talk therapy component of MAT can help people adopt healthier behaviors and get to the root cause of their opioid abuse. At Raleigh Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC), patients may engage in individual and group therapy sessions, both of which offer numerous benefits. In group sessions, patients can build camaraderie with peers who are facing similar struggles, while individual therapy offers a confidential space where they can address personal concerns. Both settings provide an opportunity for patients to develop valuable coping skills and receive meaningful emotional support.

We serve clients 18 years old and up. We serve primary substance use disorder clients in our intensive outpatient program, as well as in general outpatient counseling, outpatient group therapy, and medication management. We also serve primary mental health clients who are struggling with an array of mental health and/or adjustment issues (grief, self-esteem, life transitions, relationship issues, etc) in a general outpatient capacity. Our primary mental health clients may also participate in medication management if needed.

Wilmington Treatment Center is a premier addiction rehabilitation center located in the beautiful coastal town of Wilmington, North Carolina. We accept patients age 18 and older who are struggling with symptoms of substance use disorders and certain co-occurring mental health concerns. We are dedicated to using an individualized approach to treatment and customize each patient’s treatment plan according to their unique needs and goals. We offer several programming options to meet patients where they are on the journey to healing, including a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that supports patients who need structure without 24-hour supervision. Though many of our PHP patients begin in our detox or residential program, we have some patients who begin treatment at the PHP level. This program typically lasts up to 28 days; however, the actual duration will depend on the personal needs of the patient.

IOP Services provides intensive group therapy to adults. We are the an independent, clinician owned mental health IOP in North Carolina. We do not provide care to individuals whose primary current problem is a substance abuse disorder. There are many options for their care. IOP provides intensive therapy 3 hours per day, 3 days a week. Group therapy is the foundation of IOP. Group has been well established as an effective treatment approach for 80 years. The interpersonal experience of group is supplemented and enriched with instructional material, psychiatric education and a variety of evidenced based approaches. Most clients continue their regular individual therapy schedule while in IOP. Enrollment is not determined by a diagnosis but rather by how problems are interfering in your life. At Pinehurst CTC, we offer four medication options: buprenorphine, naltrexone, methadone, and Suboxone.
