Admissions
At Harbor Oaks Hospital, we provide an efficient admissions process, with intake staff available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help people get the care they need quickly. Potential patients can contact our intake department by phone or through our website. Before admission to our depression treatment program, our team conducts an assessment for each potential patient that helps us determine if our facility is right for them. We can also verify benefits with their health insurance provider at this time. Following the individual’s evaluation, one of our doctors recommends the most appropriate level of care for them. Our team is dedicated to helping each person who turns to us for support take the first brave step toward a brighter, happier future. If we decide that another treatment center may be a better fit, we can make a referral to a vetted and trusted depression treatment provider in the area. To learn more about our depression treatment program and whether our comprehensive services can help you on your journey to healing, we encourage you to contact our team today. Treatment Approach
At our treatment center, we take an individualized and holistic approach to depression treatment. We recognize that depression can affect people of all ages, which is why we offer age-appropriate care that is tailored to the unique needs of our patients. Through evidence-based therapies and patient-centered services, we strive to address each person’s needs in a way that promotes mental, physical, emotional, and social wellness. We prioritize collaboration between our treatment team and patients to provide highly effective depression treatment. Each person’s treatment plan is based on the results of an initial assessment that details their needs, symptoms, preferences, and health history. Our team carefully selects the therapies and services that can help those in our care learn to manage symptoms of depression and build resiliency. Depending on their needs, a patient participating in depression treatment may receive medical care and medication management services as part of their care plan. They may also take part in individual, group, family, and experiential therapies to help them develop essential coping skills and reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation. Our Treatment Center
Located in New Baltimore, Michigan, Harbor Oaks Hospital provides premier depression treatment for children and adolescents ages 4-17, adults age 18 and older, and older adults age 55 and older. We provide separate units for each age group as well as a specialized inpatient pediatric unit (SIPU) for children and adolescents who have autism spectrum disorder or an intellectual disability diagnosis. At our leading depression treatment center, patients generally participate in the inpatient program for seven to 10 days. Young patients receiving depression treatment in the SIPU typically remain in the inpatient program for an average of 14-28 days depending on their needs. Our compassionate staff is committed to helping those who are suffering from acute symptoms of depression make strides toward long-term wellness. At the end of our depression treatment program, we provide each patient with a continuing care plan and local resources for ongoing support so that they feel empowered and confident in the next phase of their healing journey.
