Adolescents under the age of 18 face a unique set of challenges when it comes to overcoming substance use disorders and staying sober long-term. Guardian Recovery Network’s Adolescent Program addresses these challenges, helping younger clients develop the skills necessary to maintain sobriety.
In addition to a range of evidence-based therapies delivered in a group, individual, and family therapy setting, we focus on relapse prevention training, educational placement, vocational training, and the development and achievement of long-term goals. Family members play an important role in the recovery process if they choose to do so. Areas of focus include making treatment and recovery fun, dealing with peer pressure, the development of healthy coping skills, college and career preparation, and a comprehensive family-centered component that features assessment, therapy and support groups.
