Grace House for Women Ideal Candidates
We serve adult women who have SUD and are willing to strive for their recovery - to take care of themselves and their space, attend groups, learn communication and life skills, do exercise, build a network of support and learn to be light-hearted again through playful and creative activities. We recognize the longing for radical change that arrives through pain and suffering of addiction. This suffering creates a tension in the body that can manifest as anxiety or stress that is toxic and needs a place to go to be transformed, replacing stress with strength, anxiety with confidence and anhedonia with joy through play.
Treatment Approach
We employ Non-Violent Communication, Mindfulness practices, Motivational Interviewing and Person-Centered Therapy for dynamic experience.Women arrive riddled with shame, stress and low self esteem. Once they begin taking actions and learning new skills to replace the negativity, they feel empowered to continue to build strength in mind, body and spirit.
