Gina was featured in last year's Loudoun 100- Alimond Studio's Special project to highlight 100 amazing people in Loudoun County making a difference in their community! Gina Carey is a Treatment Consultant for American Addiction Centers covering the Northern Virginia and Maryland area. Though she started working in the mental health field in 2004, it wasn't until 2011 that Gina worked exclusively with co-occurring clients at Sheppard Pratt Hospital, connecting them to services after discharge. It was in that role that she learned about AAC and started utilizing their Treatment Consultants on a regular basis. In 2014 Gina moved to Virginia and became part of the AAC team. After more than ten years since her first role in the mental health field, Gina remains passionate about helping others. She now resides in Sterling, Virginia with her husband Thomas, and their cats Cleo and Leo.
