Seeking Safety
Seeking Safety is an Evidence-Based treament method for addiction integrated into the group sessions at Genesis Recovery.
12-Step Group
The 12-Steps have been used by many people over many years as a method for overcoming addiction. We help residents understand the value and process of the 12-steps as well as the difference between NA and AA step work and what would work best for them. They can begin going through the steps while in treatment or they can gain the understand and start the process after. They will meet others in recovery who can share their story on how the steps worked for them and how they can even pair well with faith integration and even clinical therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is one of the most effective treatments show in research for many psychological and behavioral difficulties and is highly beneficial in the treatment of addiction. CBT will teach a person to recognize unhealth and unrealistic thought patterns and change them to healthy and accurate thoughts. Changing one's thoughts and perceptions of life and events has a huge impact on how they view the world and future and gives hope for making change. As people change their thinking, their emotions and behaviors also change.
