About

There is value in being independent.

We bring hope to families living in fear, and we help direct individuals and families to treatment resources and other recovery resources that are consistent with each families needs, preferences and resources. As independent addiction specialists, we have no affiliation with any specific treatment program, which allows us the freedom to make referrals that are most appropriate for the individual. While we honor & appreciate the legacy of 12-step recovery, we recognize that there are many other pathways to recovery. Our facility hosted (pre-covid) a weekly 12-step meeting, a Recovery Dharma meeting and a Parent-to-Parent meeting to provide free resources for those with limited means. Our mission is to bring hope, guidance, support and community for individuals and families in pursuit of a full life in recovery.

Hope, Guidance, Support & Community

Before recovery begins, there is often isolation. Individuals and families suffer alone with few (if any) people to talk to, cry with, rant to or otherwise have support. "Other families seem to have it all together," while Full Life families may have been struggling and suffering for months or even years before making their way to Full Life- not knowing how to deal with what they are experiencing in their own families. Even once recovery begins, the road is rarely smooth. Recovery is a process, not an event. The process is full of eye-popping ah-ha moments, disappointments, surprises, set-backs and unexpected joys. This is true for both those in recovery from the disease of addiction and those who love them. At Full Life, we know addiction. And we know recovery. We know that every family's circumstances are different, but we also know that having the support of others who have experience with addiction and recovery can make a big difference. At Full Life, we bring hope, direction and support all along the way.

We believe a full life in recovery can be reality

"We never underestimate the power of the disease, but we also believe that it is never too late to experience a full life in recovery. Support from both professionals and others in recovery helps to improve the likelihood of experiencing sustainable, long-term recovery." Ginny Mills

Full Life Counseling & Recovery's Groups

DBT Skills Group - Temporarily Suspended

Full Life offers DBT Skills Groups for clients who need assistance in learning to regulate their emotions, establish boundaries, and develop healthier means of communication. Our DBT groups operate through a 26-week series and are comprised of four different modules: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness. Clients must be working with an individual counselor (not necessarily a counselor at Full Life) in order to participate in the group. Co-facilitated by Jaime Robertson, LCSW and Jimmy Tunstall, CSAC, CPPS

More about this group

Professionals' Relapse Prevention Group

Using Gorski's Relapse Prevention model, professionals with less than 18 months of sobriety complete and process weekly assignments designed to help them navigate high-risk situations, expand their circle of recovery support, explore their own patterns to identify Hidden Relapse Warning signs, develop a recovery-orientated lifestyle, and develop plans for healthy response to situations that may threaten recovery. Prescreening is required, and not all those in early recovery will be recommended for group work. Weekly group while completing assignments w/ semi-weekly individual sessions. Then participants then begin tapering group frequency down to monthly with IC as needed.
