Client Population & Needs
Foundations serves kind, inclusive young adults aged 18–25 navigating the transition to independence. Many arrive with high potential but face challenges that shrink their world, such as anxiety, depression, low motivation, social isolation, executive-function delays, academic interruptions, or lack of direction. With a relational, strengths-based approach, our team of clinicians, educators, and mentors helps them build a comprehensive toolbox of skills for an independent life. Our Approach to Growth
Foundations combines residential support, therapy, skill-building, and community immersion in Asheville. A tiered housing model offers progressive support, ranging from mentored residences to fully independent homes. Six focus pillars guide students in financial literacy, academics and career, social integration, daily living, hobbies, and personal wellness. Finding Your Next Step
We know this transition can feel overwhelming for young adults and their families. Foundations offers a kind, energized collective where students practice independence with support, not pressure. Here, young adults rediscover purpose, strengthen skills, and form meaningful connections—gaining the confidence to believe in themselves and their next chapter. Take the first step to help.
