Equine Assisted Psychotherapy - Eagala Model
Outpatient. Our primary focus is on military veterans & first responders, we also treat civilians. EAP is a collaborative therapeutic approach that allows clients to learn about themselves & others by participating in activities with horses that explore feelings, thoughts & behaviors. It's often utilized to augment conventional forms of therapy in the therapeutic process. We are certified in Eagala (Equine Assisted Growth & Learning Association) Treatment Model, an experiential framework designed to allow clients to discover, learn & grow by engaging the unique intuitive power of horses to help them identify and practice the changes they want to make. Eagala is the gold standard for mental health professionals practicing equine-assisted psychotherapy. Under the the model, both a registered, credentialed Mental Health Professional and a certified Equine Specialist work together at all times to ensure each client receives the therapeutic attention and guidance to explore, process & solve their specific challenges in a safe, supportive environment. Built on the premise that it is the client who can best determine the life changes they need to make in order to improve their lives.
