Psychology & Beyond, Inc is a non-residential treatment facility established by a group of licensed psychologists and psychotherapists who work at different locations (i.e., schools, nursing and rehabilitation centers, client's residence (autism only), and community mental health centers, among other places including our own private practice. We work cooperatively with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and specialists (when needed). We are experienced psychotherapist who provides individual counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and families with depression, anxiety, employment/academic problems, grief, parenting issues, dementia, suicide thoughts, acute/chronic health conditions, substance abuse, self-injury (autism), cognitive disorder (attention/memory), adolescent-parent conflicts, divorce, etc. In addition, we specialize in Neuropsychology and Applied Behavior Analysis.

At The Refuge, A Healing Place, we provide residential programming for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with substance use disorders, eating disorders, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and self-harming behaviors. Treatment in our adult residential program typically lasts a minimum of 30 days, but a client's unique needs and circumstances determine their actual length of stay. Clients in residential treatment receive personalized care to aid in their healing journeys. Treatment is delivered by an expert team that is comprised of counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, registered dietitians, medical doctors, registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, equine therapists, and certified trauma therapists. We strive to treat clients with empathy and respect while encouraging them to pursue happier, healthier lives.

By providing a safe and structured treatment environment our multidisciplinary treatment team works together to help our clients fight their addiction and achieve their goals. The Refuge, A Healing Place, located in Ocklawaha, Florida, offers a detoxification program for adults age 18 and older who are struggling with addictions to alcohol, opioids, prescription drugs, and other substances. Sometimes, people turn to drugs or alcohol as a way to cope with stress, the effects of trauma, or difficult life circumstances. Unfortunately, this can lead to addictions and increased tolerance as people require more of the substance to achieve the same outcomes. When someone suddenly stops using a substance, they may experience a range of uncomfortable, painful, or dangerous effects. It's crucial for individuals in this situation to seek support from qualified medical professionals who can help them manage their withdrawal symptoms safely. Clients typically participate in our detox program for three to seven days before transitioning to our residential treatment program. However, a client’s individual progress, needs, and goals determine their actual length of stay.
