North Tampa Behavioral Health, located in Wesley Chapel, Florida, provides acute inpatient treatment for adults and seniors age 18 and older who are struggling with depression, suicidal ideation, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), bipolar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorder. We also treat adults who have addictions to alcohol, benzodiazepines, and opioids. This level of care is a short-term treatment option for people who are in crisis and need immediate stabilization before transitioning to a lower level of care. Upon admission, patients meet with a member of our medical staff for a comprehensive assessment. Throughout treatment, patients can receive basic medical care and daily medication management services. Patients take part in multiple group therapy sessions every day. These sessions offer an opportunity for patients to have discussions with their peers and receive encouragement from compassionate professionals. The typical length of stay in our inpatient program is five to 10 days, but each patient’s individual progress and treatment goals determine their actual length of stay.

North Tampa Behavioral Health, located in Wesley Chapel, Florida, offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older who have mental health disorders and substance use concerns. Our PHP is an ideal option for people who do not need intensive inpatient treatment but could still benefit from structured support. Patients in our PHP take part in programming five days a week, six hours each day, for two to four weeks. During their time in treatment, patients receive weekly medication management services and participate in daily group therapies. Therapists lead processing and psychotherapy groups that are informed by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Topics covered in groups may include setting boundaries, how to cope with stress and anger, navigating grief and loss, and healthy communication skills. Patients can also take part in yoga, meditation, and recreational groups led by experienced recreational therapists and certified yoga instructors.
