Firefly Institute
The Firefly Institute provides counseling to support individuals, groups and families across the lifespan. We offer a variety of services including treatment options that are highly specialized such as animal assisted therapies, therapeutic art, play therapy and EMDR. These services are provided by skilled clinicians who have certification in the treatment program they are offering and include telehealth. This is what sets us apart from other clinics or practitioners. Training for specialized care is rigorous and requires significant commitment to education post graduate. Firefly clinicians train to do the work correctly by accredited training programs or institutions. Areas of specialty include: relationships, grief/loss, chronic illness, abuse/trauma, PTSD, mood imbalances, child therapy, attachment issues, behavior issues, anxiety, adoption/foster care issues, divorce and difficult life transitions or change. Firefly provides care through a commitment to excellence in healing for improving the communities in which we live and serve. Services
Firefly offers in-person or telehealth therapy depending upon client preference. Individual, group, and family therapy is available. Firefly offers Relational-Cultural Therapy, Person and Child Centered Therapies, and therapies to address attachment. Firefly clinicians provide CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy), and Solution Focused treatment depending upon client preference or presenting concerns. EMDR treatment for children, adolescents and adults in addition to other trauma informed care models are available. Firefly can provide DBT therapy for individuals and families and often offers skills groups. Firefly delivers expressive therapies including play and therapeutic art from credentialed registered play therapists and movement based therapies including yoga for adults and children. Support groups provide care to specific populations or interests. Animal assisted therapies are available with therapy dogs on location. We offer parent education and training, mental health consultation/assessment/diagnosing consultation and clinical supervision for mental health professionals working towards licensing. Clinical Supervision
Firefly provides clinicians working towards licensing with clinical supervision to reach their professional goals.
