Mental Health Treatment

Family Service Madison help clients create change by providing mental health assessment and treatment services in a culturally sensitive manner. Clinicians create individualized plans for treatment based on information and experiences presented by the client. Services are usually brief and are provided on an outpatient basis. Services are provided to individuals: adults and children; couples; and families who are experiencing a wide range of problems. Common areas of treatment include: trauma, depression, anxiety or panic, stress, issues related to physical, sexual or emotional abuse, relationship or family problems, grief and loss, issues related to transition, and exposure to domestic violence.

About Family Service Madison

Since 1910, Family Service Madison has been serving and celebrating families. As a nonprofit human service agency, we offer help to people of all income levels. This year, we will work with more than 5,000 families in our continued and dedicated efforts to support family life in Dane County, Wisconsin. As an extension of our mission to serve, we are now also offering help to other nonprofit agencies, forging partnerships and collaborations the help those agencies continue to provide for our community, even in a time of diminishing resources.

The Generalized Aggression program is designed for men who have engaged in physical violence or other threatening, hostile behavior against someone other than an intimate partner. The program emphasizes accountability for personal actions, replacing belief systems that support aggression, and developing assertiveness skills to resolve conflict without hurting others.
