Our Mission
Families On The Line is an outpatient, DBT-adherent practice. Our extensively trained clinicians are dedicated to providing a range of evidence-based treatments to address emotional, behavioral, relational, and lifestyle concerns. Particular areas of expertise include the treatment of severe emotional dysregulation or borderline personality disorder (BPD) and its associated co-morbidities. We know and fully understand how painful this struggle is for patients as well as most often for their families, and we are passionate about helping relieve this suffering. Our Treatment
We offer formal and adherent DBT services: this includes individual therapy, skills groups, and phone coaching. Importantly we also offer family, parent or couple therapy; as teaching DBT-based competencies to family members is proven to be effective for families and for patients. Because BPD can present with multiple comorbidities, our clinicians are trained in complementary therapies including treatment for trauma, grief, substance use, anxiety disorders, suicidality or self-injurious behaviors, and difficulties with interpersonal relationships.We also offer evidence-based treatment of trauma and trauma related conditions, anxiety, substance use and grief through Cognitive Behavior Therapy, DBT-PE (Prolonged Exposure), Motivational Interviewing, Mentalization and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.)
