Our Mission
Founded in 2013, Excel Treatment Center has grown into one of the most successful substance abuse outpatient treatment facilities in the area. Excel Treatment Center is privately owned and is designed to offer an alternative, personal approach to substance abuse treatment. The Excel Treatment Team is dedicated to providing clients with comprehensive, individualized treatment in an intimate environment. Our clinical staff is trained in substance abuse, social work and professional counseling services and are available to clients for individual, family and group sessions. Our goal at Excel Treatment Center is to ensure that clients are given the tools and skills needed to maintain long term sobriety.
Services Offered
Excel Treatment Center provides a full compliment of Adult Outpatient Services to clients and their families including: Substance Abuse Evaluation, Adult Intensive Outpatient Programs, Relapse Prevention Groups, Second Opinion Evaluations for DUI and DWI, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Specialized Substance Abuse Groups, Psychoeducational and Holistic Groups, Family Support Groups, Case Management, Weekly Sessions, Urine Drug Screens, Psychiatric Consultations, Medication Management and Vivitrol (Naltrexone) Injections (www.vivitrol.com). Outpatient counseling is intended for individuals who are in need of ongoing support in their recovery from addiction while minimizing disruption in their lives. We also work with Morris County Probation and IDRC. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is offered in both the day and evening hours. It is an integrative approach for individuals who require a structured treatment program to assist them in overcoming addiction. In addition to evidence-based practices, we offer holistic treatments as part of our integrative approach to addiction recovery. This includes mindfulness, experiential therapy, expressive art therapy and yoga for recovery.
Community Focus and Sober Living

At Excel Treatment Center we understand that addiction is a biopsychosocial disease and that it impacts all facets of an individual's life. A large part of our treatment program is assisting our clients in creating a strong, supportive sober community for themselves by encouraging clients to engage in regular outside self-help support groups. We also work closely with The Milestone House, a sober supportive 12-step living program for men and women, 18+, located right next door. This is not just a sober living facility, but a recovery program that helps our clients to build and maintain a long-lasting recovery by creating a sober supportive community and providing a safe space to transition into sober life. The Milestone House offers in-house meetings, workshops and intensive case management services to assist their residents in getting back to work or school and focus on creating a high level of accountability.
