Adolescent DBT Residential Treatment in CA
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment proven to help teens struggling with emotion dysregulation, self-harming behavior, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues. Evolve’s Comprehensive DBT residential treatment center is the first of its kind in California and one of only a handful in the entire country. Many of our teens struggle with depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, addiction or other high-acuity issues. We offer individual therapy (at least 3 times a week), family therapy (2 times a week, with out-of-state families participating remotely), DBT Skills Training Groups (4 times a week), and skills-coaching (24/7). Teens learn how to practice Mindfulness, Emotion Regulation, Distress Tolerance, and Interpersonal Effectiveness within a warm, accepting environment. We have one of the highest staff:patient ratios in the nation, serving only six teens at any given time. Our Comprehensive DBT program in California is fully licensed and accredited by CARF and the Joint Commission. A “Comprehensive DBT” treatment center means that the program includes all four components of traditional Dialectical Behavior Therapy: DBT-focused individual and family therapy, skills training, skills coaching, and weekly consultation team. Our DBT residential treatment center in L.A. is a fully compliant Comprehensive DBT program. Evolve’s Executive Clinical Director has been intensively trained in DBT through Behavioral Tech (the premier institute for DBT) and is now a respected leader in Comprehensive DBT Residential Programming for Adolescents. To ensure your teen is continuously receiving the highest standard of care, our treatment team of clinical and medical professionals meet weekly to evaluate their treatment administration and your teen’s progress. Since many of our patients struggle with high emotional reactivity, our licensed DBT clinicians and counselors are specially trained to respond to crises and provide in-the-moment, face-to-face skills coaching for your child 24/7.
