Adolescents participate in individual/family therapy multiple times a week, psychiatry sessions weekly, and daily groups on DBT Skills Training, Anger Management, and Seeking Safety. We also offer remote family therapy and daily academic support to help your child stay on track with school. Through DBT, CBT, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and other evidence-based modalities, we teach our teens the coping skills needed for effective communication, stress management, and mindfulness. To ensure that Evolve’s residential treatment program will be able to help your adolescent, we conduct a thorough clinical assessment prior to admission and gather previous medical records as needed. This information is reviewed by our licensed Admissions Clinician for clearance to admit. After admission, a multi-disciplinary team then conducts a face-to-face evaluation of your teen in order to develop a customized, solution-focused treatment plan that addresses their history, current symptoms, and individual goals. This plan is continuously evaluated and adjusted by the treatment team based on treatment progress. From day one, our dedicated discharge coordinator works with the primary therapist on a detailed, family-based aftercare plan that sets your teen up for a smooth transition back home. Like all of our residential treatment centers, our home in Agoura Hills, California is comfortable and well-appointed, featuring a swimming pool, fully-equipped gym, and onsite chef.
