Awakening Recovery Center provides a free extensive continued care program that promotes long term recovery, healthy lifestyles, and positive family relationships. Cedar Health provides outpatient services for adolescents (11-17; as young as 9 in some instances), adults (18+) and peri/postpartum individuals. Our in-person services are for the adolescent population only. Adolescents can be seen in person or virtually. Adults and peri/postpartum individuals are seen virtually only. We are filling a gap of great need, mainly high-acuity adolescent patients that have nowhere to turn to and need strong clinical intervention. We provide a strong team of licensed therapists to provide valuable clinical sessions to help improve the mental health of all our patients.

In our Tucson, Arizona mental health clinic, we provide in-person and telehealth therapy, medication management and telepsychiatry, intensive outpatient programs (IOP) and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). What we do impacts the lives of our clients and their friends and families, and we take this responsibility seriously. The quality of our treatment is so important to us that we voluntarily completed the rigorous process required to receive accreditation by The Joint Commission. This difficult accreditation is usually only attempted by hospitals because of the intensity of the requirements – making us one of the only outpatient mental health practices in the Tucson area to achieve this. We offer the full continuum of outpatient mental health services, which means that you can work with the same treatment team as your needs evolve – no more starting over again with someone new as needs change. Our diverse team can work with the whole family – children, teens, and adults and over the years we have had the honor of working with multiple family members at the same time.

To meet the needs of our Tucson community, Cathexis was created to ensure that high-quality, affordable services are available in a pleasant and therapeutic environment. We accept the Banner University Family Plan and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan AHCCCS networks, commericial insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona and Aetna, and offer affordable Self Pay rates (reduced rates available for services provided by one of our talented interns). Our therapists are trained in multiple disciplines within the therapeutic field, and have the skills to work with a wide range of needs and clients. Buena Vista Health and Recovery Centers offers inpatient and outpatient care for individuals 18+ struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. With four campuses throughout Arizona, it is our goal to provide accessible treatment in a medically monitored, but comfortable and modern setting.

Every individual has, within themselves, the resources to recover from their addiction. At Desert Star, professional staff assist the individual to unlock these resources, using a combination of modalities that include 12-step work, psycho-education, motivational enhancement, cognitive behavioral therapies (examining one's belief systems and modes of thinking), expressive arts therapies, relapse prevention tools, trauma and grief work, coping methods, and stress reduction, along with an exploration of mind/body, spiritual needs and beliefs. Our clients are encouraged to follow a program of recovery by understanding their addiction cycle and learning new skills to assist them to live a healthy and productive life in sobriety. Specialty programs and workshops are offered to enhance their life in recovery. Continuing care is available and strongly recommended.

Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital provides a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults age 18 and older and adolescents ages 12-17 who are suffering from mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. We also serve people who are struggling with an addiction to substances such as marijuana, alcohol, or cocaine. Day treatment can be an excellent option for people who may benefit from highly structured therapy but don’t need the 24/7 support of an inpatient program. At Sonora Behavioral Health Hospital, we primarily use group therapy to help people learn important skills to manage their symptoms and prevent relapse. Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) forms the foundation of our group therapy sessions, but we also use cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), the 12 Steps of recovery, and the Gorski model of relapse prevention. We may also recommend individual, family, and experiential therapies depending on a person’s specific situation. Most people participate in this program for about two weeks, though each person’s actual length of stay in our program is based on their individual progress.
