Embark Behavioral Health

Embark Behavioral Health operates an exceptional network of treatment and therapy programs across the United States. We specialize in preteens, teens, and young adults, struggling with anxiety, depression, and other mental health and substance abuse issues. Our programs include in-home treatment, virtual coaching and counseling, outpatient clinics, wilderness therapy, short-term residential programs, long-term residential treatment, therapeutic boarding schools, and young adult transitional living options. Mental health problems are common among youth and can make things like school, socializing, work and everyday life more difficult. In fact, one in five adolescents, ages 12-18, live with a mental health condition; and between 20-30% will have one major depressive episode before they reach adulthood. Half of all lifetime cases of mental disorders will first present by age 14 and 75% will present by age 24. This is why it is a critical time to find expert help and address issues.

Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment

For pre-teen, teen, and young adult girls and boys struggling with school refusal, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, suicidal ideation, and other mental health issues, the earlier they are diagnosed the more effective treatment can be. Embark believes that substance abuse and substance addiction co-occur alongside many mental health issues. For troubled adolescents struggling with substance abuse issues, Embark offers substance abuse counseling through recovery programs that provide simultaneous education and recovery for addictions that develop alongside mental illnesses. At Embark, our treatment options include self-management and recovery training (SMART), substance abuse recovery, substance abuse counseling, recovery groups, and substance abuse education. These treatment options help pre-teens, teens, and young adults understand how to navigate their way through difficult drug and alcohol issues while overcoming difficult mental health issues.

Embark at Atlanta North Can Help

Our outpatient program allows your family to get the help they need locally, in your own community, and includes individual, family and group therapy, therapeutic/peer mentoring and parent coaching. We provide a healing, nurturing and safe environment to help families and their troubled teens address and overcome mental health issues that may be affecting their everyday lives. When a more intensive program than basic outpatient therapy is needed, or if your child is in need of a ‘step-down’ program once they have completed an inpatient residential program, our clinics are here to help. We provide two in-clinic treatment options – a partial hospitalization program (PHP), sometimes referred to as a “day treatment program,” and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Our outpatient therapy programs include: Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Individual Therapy, Parent Coaching, and Peer mentoring. Our PHP is a minimum of 20 hours per week – 5 hours a day, 5 days per week in-person.
