Adult Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Services
Outpatient (Level 1) and intensive outpatient (Level 2) services vary in intensity and duration. Generally clients who attend outpatient treatment attend individual sessions once a week and group session 1-3 times per week, whereas individuals who attend intensive outpatient treatment see a counselor for a weekly individual session and attend group 3-4 evenings per week. Each treatment program is designed to help individuals develop the structure and tools necessary to begin recovery from their substance use disorder. Ecker Center employs an integrative approach, utilizing evidence-based therapy practices that include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, Matrix Model, Wellness Recovery Action Plan (WRAP), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Contingency Management. For many clients who are dealing with a primary mental health/mental illness, we approach their treatment focused on their co-occurring disorders and focus on both issues concurrently. We are approved to provide treatment to clients who are involved in the Court systems in Cook, DuPage, Kane and McHenry Counties. Our women's program also has childcare for women in treatment. Adolescent Outpt and Intensive Outpt, 13-18 years
Our Adolescent Programs are for adolescents who have progressed past experimental use and are abusing or possibly have a substance use disorder. Our clinical program is a licensed program and staff have experience with a variety of evidence based therapies. Our adolescent program supports and assists teens in being honest and open about their use, understanding the consequences and harmful effects of their behaviors, while realizing their responsibilities, and being empowered to make informed decisions toward positive change. We holistically address the alcohol and drug problems of teens, as well as their mental health issues, life situation concerns and life-skills difficulties. Our Treatment Program involves group, individual, and family counseling sessions. Length and intensity of treatment is variable based on progress and participation of the young person and the severity of his/her substance use. As with all our treatment programs, we encourage as much family involvement as possible. Medication Assisted Treatment and DUI Services
We provide medication assisted treatment to clients who are part of our intensive outpatient and outpatient treatment programs who are dealing with an opioid disorder and/or alcohol disorder by utilizing medications that help to combat cravings, anxiety, insomnia, preoccupation of use, etc. The medications we utilize in our treatment program include: Suboxone, Vivitrol, Naltroxone, Campral, and Antabuse. (At this time we do not provide Methadone). Renz Center offers comprehensive evaluation services for all levels and classifications of DUI. We also provide counseling and treatment services for those who are evaluated at the Significant Risk (Level II-S), High Risk (Level III). The treatment plan for each client is individualized according to his/her needs, taking into consideration the court and/or Secretary of State requirements. Ecker Center is licensed by the Illinois Department of Human Services/Division of Substance Use Prevention and Recovery (SUPR).
