Eating Recovery Center, San Antonio is a Joint Commission-accredited center for eating disorders treatment and education located in San Antonio, Texas. Founded in 2007 as Eating Disorder Center at San Antonio (EDCASA), our treatment programs serve female and male children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, Eating Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (EDNOS) and co-occurring conditions. A multidisciplinary team of professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, an internal medicine physician, therapists, Registered Dietitians, nurses, milieu therapists, movement and meditation therapists, therapeutic gardener and support staff deliver comprehensive, compassionate Outpatient levels of specialized eating disorder care. Programming options include 7-day-per-week Partial Hospitalization Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs to meet the unique recovery needs of patients and families at all stages of the recovery journey.

Eating Recovery Center, San Antonio has developed a comprehensive approach to the treatment of eating disorders that recognizes and addresses the complex nature of these illnesses. Adult, adolescent, child and family treatment at Eating Recovery Center of San Antonio is characterized by several foundational concepts, including: Individualized care, Compassionate experts across multiple disciplines, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focus, Evidence-based interventions, Family involvement Comprehensive, medical and psychiatric support, Seamless transition to higher levels of care at Eating Recovery Center (as necessary), and Ongoing support following discharge. Several levels of specialized eating disorder care are available, including Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient and general Outpatient Services, including support groups. Thorough assessment by highly skilled eating disorder therapists from our Clinical Assessment teams helps to determine the appropriate level of care to help patients and families find lasting eating disorder recovery.

The Overcoming Overeating Support Group is designed to support individuals recovering from binge eating disorder, bulimia, compulsive overeating, and related issues. Groups are available for alumni/family of ERC programs, patients/families in ERC Intensive Outpatient treatment and persons needing support in the community. Free and open to anyone 18 and older who is supporting a loved one in eating disorder recovery; including partners, parents, friends, siblings and other support persons. Groups are available for alumni/family of ERC programs, families in ERC Intensive Outpatient treatment and persons needing support in the community. No prior treatment or affiliation with Eating Recovery Center needed. These groups are ongoing, free support groups that focus on recovery. Group facilitators may shift based on staffing needs.
