About
Finding it difficult to cope with day-to-day stressors is a common experience. Maybe it seems as though your emotions are difficult to control or that your emotions are controlling your life. Perhaps you cannot seem to move beyond anxiety or depression no matter how hard you try. For some, interpersonal difficulties seem to be a problem. You may find it difficult to get along with others, or, you would like more meaningful relationships, but aren't quite sure how to go about connecting with others.
At Durham DBT, Inc., our mission is to help you work toward living a life consistent with your own personal values. Our psychologists have each received the best training in empirically supported treatments, including Dialectical Behavior therapy, to help you achieve your goals. Following a thorough assessment of your concerns, we provide a cognitive-behavioral approach to treatment, which includes problem identification and goal setting, personalized within session and between session work that targets changes in thoughts and behaviors, ongoing assessment of progress, and well-defined termination guidelines. Weekly individual therapy sessions and DBT skills training groups are available at our facility to assist you in learning new skills and achieving your goals.
Durham DBT, Inc. currently has openings for new clients. We also have locations in Durham. Please feel free to contact us today to schedule an initial evaluation. We look forward to hearing from you.
