Medication Assisted Treatment For Addiction
At North Dayton Addiction Recovery Services, we provide meaningful care and lasting treatment options for recovery from opiate use disorder and alcohol use disorder. We are a private, outpatient medication-assisted treatment facility where patients are people, not numbers. We prescribe medications such as Suboxone, Sublocade, Vivitrol and naltrexone to help each individual manage the agony of withdrawal and cravings from opiates while participating in individual counseling, starting recovery-based social support networks, addressing underlying co-occuring disorders that could be fueling the addiction and begin to rebuild their life with recovery in mind. NDARS also utilizes an evidence-based approach for alcohol use disorder known as "The Sinclair Method", or TSM. This approach uses a medication prior to drinking every time you drink, to turn off the reward the alcohol would otherwise provide. In turn, drinking is less and less desirable, so you drink less and less over time. We have seen tremendous results with TSM, and believe that individuals who have been through the traditional treatment settings and not achieved their long term goals would greatly benefit from this approach.
