Non Residential Behavioral Health Services
We serve the needs of the most vulnerable people in our society; Our clients are mostly returning citizens, women, including transwomen and gender-nonconforming individuals, most of whom have had recent criminal justice involvement and have experienced a variety of life traumas. We actively seek out this population in our community outreach work and refuse support to anyone. Among our recent clients, a disproportionate number were victims of domestic violence, several were HIV+, and virtually all had housing instability.
The Don’t Look Back Center (DLBC) was created to empower socially and economically disadvantaged individuals of all racial and ethnic backgrounds to obtain safety, restoration, leadership, courage, tenacity, and health. We take into consideration all physical, emotional, social, and mental health conditions to effectively break the cycle of addictive pattern
Our programs span recovery-oriented re-habilitation, street outreach, traditional outpatient substance use disorder services, intensive outpatient programs, psychotherapy, and mental health treatment, which provides participants with physical and mental health education, peer-to-peer support, and a sense of community.

Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) is a type of behavioral therapy that aims to reduce the likelihood of someone returning to substance/alcohol abuse. MRT is based on Erikson's Theory of Personality Development and Kohlberg's Theory of Moral Reasoning. It uses cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to help people make better decisions for themselves and others, and to promote a positive self-identity.
