About

ADHD, Addiction, Mental Health, Physical Health

Avalon Center is Closed as a treatment center. Diane Hutcheson ARNP PMHCS-BS is a Board Certified Advanced Practice Nurse with a specialty of working with people who have problems with addiction, ADHD, Depression, and any other mental health issues.

Depression, Mood Swings, Overwhelming Anxiety

Mental Health problems and addiction occur together. It needs to be treated at the same time. All symptoms such as anxiety, anger, irritability, fear, insomnia, depression, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, anxiety attacks, shortness of breath, sweating, cravings, using cocaine, diarrhea, shakes, muscle spasms, stomach upset, ulcers, high blood pressure, not sleeping, all to deal with the stress of coping with that high-powered job. All of these are signs that things are not OK. Cravings are automatic and won't go away if a person stops Using or drinking. The person can't stop because the brain is out of balance. Once this happens it continues to seek something to sooth it to balance it... teetering on the edge it becomes worse until either they drink or use or find someone to help balance the brain. Research is showing now how to treat these issues by balancing the brain, with treatment from qualified medical professionals. Research also shows that balancing can occur from a focus on learning specific skills to cope with stressors of your fast-paced life. Learning is maximized by being with other people who are also learning and providing connection and support to one another.

Explore Your Options

Explore your options now. Call and talk with us. Look at what your options are. We will do a phone consult. A plan can be crafted for you that can meet your needs. Referrals are given for what you are needing if we do not have that available. Balancing the brain can get rid of the cravings that lead to relapse. Certain medications can help but there must also be treatments such as individual or group therapy at the same time. You need support to make the changes that are necessary. Diane Hutcheson ARNP can help by identifying both the necessary support and the neurotransmitters that are out of balance. DNA testing can identify your own personalized medical profile. Guesswork is taken out of the mix for medications or supplements. Medication-assisted treatment with Naltrexone, Vivitrol, or Campral is available. This does work, it takes the cravings out of the equation and allows you to work on learning skills. It is necessary to change your lifestyle skills if you want to feel better and be able to cope with stress.
