About Destinations Teen Treatment

Destinations Teen Treatment provides six programs across California and Nevada that range from Residential programs to Partial Hospitalization day programs, and Intensive Outpatient programs in the evening. We treat teens ages 12-18 in our day and evening programs, and ages 13-17 in our residential programs. As a team of highly skilled clinicians, medical staff and compassionate counselors, we specialize in treating teens with Substance Abuse (Dual Diagnosis) and Primary Mental Health. As of 2017, we are accredited with Joint Commission.

Teen Residential for Primary Mental Health

**This listing specifically highlights our Residential program for teens ages 13-17 with a Primary Mental Health diagnosis.** This program offers a robust, comprehensive, and individualized treatment program that begins at 6 AM and ends at 10 PM. Clients move through the day with therapeutic supervision and support and small staff-to-client ratios. Clients at Destinations receive a minimum of three individual and one family session per week in addition to our multi-family program, psychotherapeutic, life skills, experiential and psychoeducation groups. Additionally, residential clients receive weekly psychiatric consultations with our Medical Director and daily evaluation and support from our team of RN's. Here at Destinations we care about your whole family's process and our team works hand-in-hand with your pre and post providers and schools to provide a seamless transition between all levels of care.

Academics in Treatment

Our academic program is designed to maximize our client's educational opportunities and academic progress while they are in treatment. Upon admission, each client and their caregiver meet with our Education Director to determine what the best accommodations will be for them while in our care. The director and academic coordinators work with the client's school district to draw up an educational plan and objectives to be competed during treatment. (For clients not enrolled in school, Destinations will help each client enroll in a fully accredited virtual distance learning school or Independent Study Program.) Destinations will facilitate the transfer of earned credits during the client's time in treatment back to their school of attendance upon discharge.
