About

How we can help you

Sometimes people have difficulties in their lives and do not know why, whether in relationships, at work, or somewhere else. Emotions, thoughts and behaviors can become problematic and hamper daily life. In the psychoanalytic approach we believe that feelings, thoughts and behaviors reflect something deeper than what is visible. Our clinicians are trained to help you discover what is beneath the surface. Your newfound understandings of yourself can open the door to significant longstanding change in your life.

Who we are

Our clinicians are psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and licensed professional counselors. Having invested many years of post-graduate psychoanalytic training through formal programs at the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis (WBCP), our clinicians have extensive training to work with the broad range of mental health issues, including those related to mood, anxiety, relational problems and grief and loss. Clinicians' private offices are located throughout the metropolitan DC and Baltimore area.

Fees and more information

Our clinicians provide psychoanalytic psychotherapy as well as psychoanalysis. Fees for psychoanalytic psychotherapy are on a sliding scale and our clinicians will work with you to find a fee per session that is fair to both you and the clinician. Many of our clinicians offering psychoanalysis are in ongoing training and they will work to negotiate an affordable fee for you. Treatment in psychoanalysis typically involves 4 sessions per week, and per-session fees are commonly lower than the session fees for psychotherapy. If you are curious about or interested in psychoanalysis, please do not assume that fees will be an obstacle. Call us to learn more or set up a time to meet and discuss your wishes with a clinician.
